Below is a short guide to what they cover and which ones are most useful at different points in your chameleon's life.
Chameleons at a glance
With good care, chameleons typically live 5-8 years. Chameleons are insectivores, which shapes what you feed and how much. Most adults weigh around 60-200 g. They mature quickly, at around 11 months.
Chameleons need a tall screen enclosure with heavy planting, a basking spot, strong UVB and a dripper or misting system, since most will not drink from standing water. They are visual-stress sensitive and should be housed alone.
The health problems vets see most often in chameleons include metabolic bone disease, dehydration and kidney failure, mouth rot and eye infections from poor humidity.
Eggs usually take 150 to 300 days to hatch.
