Chameleon Housing tools: what they help with
These calculators size your chameleon's living space: the minimum and recommended dimensions, how much bedding or substrate to buy and what fits in the space you have. Too little space is one of the most common welfare problems in pets. The right size gives a chameleon room to move, rest and behave normally.
What to know about housing and enclosure size for chameleons
Chameleons need a tall screen enclosure with heavy planting, a basking spot, strong UVB and a dripper or misting system, since most will not drink from standing water. They are visual-stress sensitive and should be housed alone. Target humidity is around 50-70%.

A practical tip
Treat the minimum as the floor, not the goal. Bigger is almost always better, especially for active or social species.
