Snail Housing tools: what they help with
These calculators size your snail's living space: the minimum and recommended dimensions, how much bedding or substrate to buy and what fits in the space you have. Too little space is one of the most common welfare problems in pets. The right size gives a snail room to move, rest and behave normally.
What to know about housing and enclosure size for snails
Land snails need deep moist coir substrate to burrow into and a steady source of calcium, usually cuttlebone, to build their shells. They are hermaphrodites and will breed prolifically if kept together. Target humidity is around 75-90%.

A practical tip
Treat the minimum as the floor, not the goal. Bigger is almost always better, especially for active or social species.
