Snake Housing tools: what they help with
These calculators size your snake's living space: the minimum and recommended dimensions, how much bedding or substrate to buy and what fits in the space you have. Too little space is one of the most common welfare problems in pets. The right size gives a snake room to move, rest and behave normally.
What to know about housing and enclosure size for snakes
Snake requirements vary enormously by species, from a 1m colubrid to a 5m constrictor. All need a thermal gradient, secure hides at both ends, and a lid that genuinely locks, since almost every escape traces back to a loose enclosure. Target humidity is around 50-60%.

A practical tip
Treat the minimum as the floor, not the goal. Bigger is almost always better, especially for active or social species.
