Parrot Environment tools: what they help with
These tools check the conditions your parrot lives in: temperature and humidity ranges, lighting distances, heater sizing and other habitat numbers. Many parrots cannot regulate their own body temperature or humidity. When the enclosure is off, health problems follow, often slowly enough that they are missed.
What to know about environment and habitat conditions for parrots
Large parrots need a cage wide enough to fully spread both wings, several hours outside it daily, and constant foraging enrichment. A bored parrot becomes a feather-plucking parrot. Target humidity is around 40-60%.

A practical tip
Measure with a digital thermometer and hygrometer at the animal's level, not near the heat source. Readings a few centimetres apart can differ a lot.
