Canary Environment tools: what they help with
These tools check the conditions your canary lives in: temperature and humidity ranges, lighting distances, heater sizing and other habitat numbers. Many canaries cannot regulate their own body temperature or humidity. When the enclosure is off, health problems follow, often slowly enough that they are missed.
What to know about environment and habitat conditions for canaries
Canaries are watching birds rather than handling birds. They need a long flight cage rather than a tall one, and males only sing when kept alone or in visual isolation from other males. Target humidity is around 40-60%.

A practical tip
Measure with a digital thermometer and hygrometer at the animal's level, not near the heat source. Readings a few centimetres apart can differ a lot.

Environment tools for other pets
The same kind of tool exists for other species, each using that animal's own reference data: parrot environment, budgie environment, cockatiel environment and lovebird environment.
