Hedgehog Exercise tools: what they help with
These tools estimate how much exercise a hedgehog needs each day based on breed, age and health, and help you plan it. Too little exercise leads to weight gain and boredom-driven behavior; too much can strain young or older joints.
What to know about exercise and activity for hedgehogs
Hedgehogs typically live 4 to 6 years. African pygmy hedgehogs need a solid-floor enclosure kept at a steady 24-27C. Below that they may attempt hibernation, which is dangerous for them. They are solitary and must be housed alone.

A practical tip
Split exercise across the day. Two or three shorter sessions usually suit animals better than one long one.
