Dove Environment tools: what they help with
These tools check the conditions your dove lives in: temperature and humidity ranges, lighting distances, heater sizing and other habitat numbers. Many doves cannot regulate their own body temperature or humidity. When the enclosure is off, health problems follow, often slowly enough that they are missed.
What to know about environment and habitat conditions for doves
Doves are gentle, quiet ground-feeders that need a wide cage rather than a tall one, since they walk more than they climb. They are far calmer than parrots and suit households that cannot tolerate screaming. Target humidity is around 40-60%.

A practical tip
Measure with a digital thermometer and hygrometer at the animal's level, not near the heat source. Readings a few centimetres apart can differ a lot.

The same kind of tool exists for other species, each using that animal's own reference data: parrot environment, budgie environment, cockatiel environment and lovebird environment.
