Crayfish Environment tools: what they help with
These tools check the conditions your crayfish lives in: temperature and humidity ranges, lighting distances, heater sizing and other habitat numbers. Many crayfish cannot regulate their own body temperature or humidity. When the enclosure is off, health problems follow, often slowly enough that they are missed.
What to know about environment and habitat conditions for crayfish
Crayfish are territorial, escape-prone and will eat tankmates and plants. They need a tightly lidded tank, one hide per animal, and hard water with enough calcium to molt properly. Most do best alone. Target humidity is around 70-85%.

A practical tip
Measure with a digital thermometer and hygrometer at the animal's level, not near the heat source. Readings a few centimetres apart can differ a lot.
