Caique Housing tools: what they help with
These calculators size your caique's living space: the minimum and recommended dimensions, how much bedding or substrate to buy and what fits in the space you have. Too little space is one of the most common welfare problems in pets. The right size gives a caique room to move, rest and behave normally.
What to know about housing and enclosure size for caiques
Caiques are stocky, relentlessly energetic parrots often described as the clowns of the parrot world. They hop rather than fly between perches and need a cage with lots of floor-level play space plus heavy daily enrichment. Target humidity is around 40-60%.

A practical tip
Treat the minimum as the floor, not the goal. Bigger is almost always better, especially for active or social species.
