Ball Python Environment tools: what they help with
These tools check the conditions your ball python lives in: temperature and humidity ranges, lighting distances, heater sizing and other habitat numbers. Many ball pythons cannot regulate their own body temperature or humidity. When the enclosure is off, health problems follow, often slowly enough that they are missed.
What to know about environment and habitat conditions for ball pythons
Adults need at least a 120x60cm enclosure with a warm side around 31C, a cool side near 24C, humidity of 55-65%, and two tight hides. They are ambush animals and stress without enough cover. Target humidity is around 55-65%.

A practical tip
Measure with a digital thermometer and hygrometer at the animal's level, not near the heat source. Readings a few centimetres apart can differ a lot.
